The problem

First responders don't have a trusted place of their own.

Public social media isn't safe for the job, and agency systems are for work, not for the person. RespondConnect gives responders a vetted, private space - to buy and sell, ask for help, find their people across departments, and support each other - without the whole internet watching.

One portal, everything they need

Built for the realities of the job

Marketplace & services

A members-only marketplace to buy, sell, and hire - gear, side work, referrals - from people you can trust.

Community-runVerified sellers

Rentals & housing

Rooms, rentals, and relocations shared responder-to-responder, near the posts and stations you actually work.

Peer listingsMap search

Wellness & peer support

Peer support under a handle, private check-ins, and always-on crisis resources - protected by platform policy.

No name shownAlways-on

Cross-agency communities

Built for responders to find their discipline across department lines - K9, detectives, dispatch, EMS, and more.

Cross-agencyDiscipline-based

Career & alumni

Mentorship, job leads, and an alumni network that keeps retirees connected to the people they served with.

MentorshipJob leads

Secure messaging

Direct messages with read receipts, reactions, and blocking - private, verified, and yours.

Verified DMsPrivate
Cross-agency. Platform-owned. Private.
The platform-owned safe spaces - peer support, wellness, and cross-agency boards - are governed by RespondConnect, and legal process for that data is served on us, not on an individual agency. Content confined to a single agency's own space is governed by that agency's admins.

The app your people actually open

Communities that actually get you

K9, detectives, dispatch, EMS - built so you can find the people who do your exact job at other departments, and talk shop in a space that's yours.

Communities that actually get you

Support, on your terms

Post to peer support behind a handle, log a private check-in only you can see, and reach crisis resources in one tap. Your command never sees it, and only a designated peer-support contact can match a post to you, with a written reason.

Support, on your terms

The everyday hub

Buy, sell, rent, and ask - a members-only marketplace and board that make RespondConnect the app your people actually open every day.

The everyday hub
Verified & private

Everyone is verified. Agency spaces stay separated by design.

Every member is a confirmed first responder, and your agency's data lives in its own isolated space. We keep little - credential documents are deleted within seven days, and scheduled deletion of older content is designed but not switched on yet.

Held to a standard, private by design

Real standards. Your private life stays yours.

A verifying member at your department confirms you're a real responder, and members moderate their own board. The platform enforces a safety baseline no agency can weaken - no harassment, doxxing, or hate - and keeps your peer support, wellness, and private messages off-limits to your department. Governance you can trust; your private conversations stay private.

Audit & legal holds
Every discipline

Built for police, sheriff's offices, fire, EMS and corrections

Sheriff's Offices

Deputies, patrol, courts, and detention - built to connect them across county lines.

Police Departments

Patrol, investigations, and specialty units in one verified space.

Corrections

Officers and staff with a private network built for the realities inside.

Fire & EMS

Firefighters, medics, and EMS crews - shift life, gear, and support.

Accountable by design

Built to be trusted with sensitive things

First responders share things they would never post publicly. We tell you plainly which safeguards are live today and which are still being built.

Audit logging

Sensitive actions - moderation, identity reveals, operator access - are recorded in an append-only log.

Legal holds & preservation

A preservation hold pauses routine purge for named accounts and content while a matter is open.

Legal process handling

Subpoenas and court orders are served on RespondConnect, not on your agency.

Data minimization

We keep little. Scheduled deletion of older content is designed but not switched on yet. What exists at request time is all that can be produced.

Straight answers

What your department can and can't see

Can my department see my private activity?+
No. You join with a verified identity, but your private activity is walled off from your agency's admins - and it's enforced at the database level, not by a setting someone can flip. Peer-support posts, wellness check-ins, and poll votes give nothing back to your command, your agency's admins, or even the agency owner. Direct messages stay between the people in them. What your department sees is what any member sees: your profile and your posts on the shared board.
What can RespondConnect itself see?+
We'll be straight about this: your safe-space content is not end-to-end encrypted, so we won't claim it's cryptographically impossible for us to read. What we can tell you is that no part of the product does - there is no admin screen, report, export, analytics, or search that surfaces peer support, wellness check-ins, or poll votes, by design. A RespondConnect operator working inside your agency can't reach them either. If that ever changes, this answer changes with it.
What happens with a subpoena or court order?+
Your content is walled off from your department, but no online service is beyond the reach of lawful legal process, and we won't pretend otherwise. A subpoena or court order for member data is served on RespondConnect - not on your agency, and not as a routine tool your command can use. We are early and small, and don't have counsel on retainer; we engage a lawyer on any request that warrants one. Because we keep little by design, what exists at the time of a valid request is all that can be produced; a preservation hold can pause deletion but can't recreate data already gone. The details are on our Legal Process page.
If everyone's verified, how can peer support be private?+
They're two different things. Verification happens at the door - it keeps the network to real, confirmed responders and keeps outsiders out. Inside peer support you post under a handle, not your name.Only a peer-support contact your agency has designated for that role can see who posted, and only to reach out if someone may be at risk - one post at a time, with a written reason. Every reveal is logged, with no command visibility and no owner override. We don't confirm what training a contact has had; that is your agency's call. A verified identity and a protected handle aren't a contradiction - together they're what makes a safe space possible among people you can trust.
How is RespondConnect free for members?+
You never pay, and we never sell your personal data. RespondConnect is early and self-funded today. The plan is to fund it through agency and union subscriptions, vetted sponsors behind member perks, and the marketplace - none of which are in place yet. The line we hold either way: your safe space - peer support, wellness check-ins, and private messages - is never monetized, never mined, and never opened to an agency that's paying for access. Funding keeps the lights on; it never reaches into the places that have to stay yours.

From the founder

Why I built this

After more than 20 years in local law enforcement, I went looking for a place where first responders could safely do ordinary things - rent out a place or find one, trade services, buy and sell - with people they can actually trust, instead of taking their chances on the open internet or with a stranger. Renting your home or hiring a hand comes down to trust, and responders had nowhere built for it. So I built one: a private network where every member is a verified responder, a verifying member at your department confirms who you are, the department doesn't run the space, and what you share stays inside it.

Verified responders only.

Use a personal address you'll keep - your account stays yours if you leave.

Used to match you to your department. We don't send anything here.

Attaching a photo of an affiliation credential (your agency/department ID, an FOP or union card, or an EMS/fire certification) is the fastest way to get approved. Please don't upload a driver's license or other government ID.

Only a verifying admin at your department can open it. We strip the location data out of your photo, and the file is deleted within 7 days of their decision (or within 30 days if nobody reviews it). It's fine to cover anything except your name, agency, and ID number.

By requesting access you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.

RespondConnect is independent, not an official system of any agency. A verifying member at your department confirms you're a real responder. The department doesn't run this space.
